Refund policy

We want every hat you buy from us to be one you actually wear. If it's not right, here's how to send it back.

Return window

You have 30 days from the delivery date to request a return or exchange.

Condition

Items must be:

  • Unworn and unwashed

  • In original condition, with any tags still attached

  • Free of smoke, pet hair, or stains

Worn or altered items can't be returned.

How to start a return

  • Email hello@northshorehatco.com with your order number and what you're returning.

  • We'll send you a prepaid US return label (international returns are customer-paid).

  • Pack the item in its original packaging if possible, stick the label on, drop it at a carrier location.

Refund timing

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 business days of us receiving and inspecting the return. Your bank may take another 3–10 days to post it.

What we refund

  • The product price.

  • Original shipping is refunded if the return is our error (wrong item, defect, damage).

  • Return shipping is on us for US orders; international returns are customer-paid.

Exchanges

Easiest way: return for a refund and place a new order for the size or style you want. It's faster and guarantees you don't miss stock on a small-run drop.

Sale and final-sale items

Items marked "final sale" at checkout can't be returned. Everything else is returnable under the terms above.

Gift returns

If you received a gift and want to return it, email us with the order number (or the giver's name and email). We'll issue store credit instead of a refund so the giver isn't notified.

Damaged, defective, or wrong items

If we shipped something damaged, defective, or wrong, email us within 7 days of delivery with a photo. We'll replace the item or refund you fully — no return shipping required.
